Between June and September 2007, BlueStar, in conjunction with Seagate and NXP (PHILIPS), are holding a number of roadshows across China designed to highlight new scientific and technological developments in Network Video monitoring techniques and solutions. These road shows, featuring a number of conferences, have and will been held in ten cities across China. To date, successful road shows have taken place in Shenyang, Changsha and Xi’an with the conferences having received support from the Shenyang Public Security Bureau, the Hunan Public Security Department and the Shaanxi Public Security Department. This has provided a good foundation for future road shows to take place in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Chengdu and Harbin.
The current threat of terrorism has ensured the desire for security is on the increase. In China, a growing level of security measures is being put in place as a result of the upcoming Olympic Games, as such the security market in China is strong. BlueStar (as a provider of video security products), in conjunction with Seagate (a leading global provider of hard-disks) and NXP (PHILIPS) (a global provider of semiconductors and software), intend to become the leading provider of products to the Chinese security market. Seagate supplies the hard-disk and NXP provides the chips for the BlueStar DVR's. These extremely safe and stable products are custom built for BlueStar.
As mentioned, officials from the Public Security Bureau, the Science and Technology Bureau, the Field Associations and many other resound experts in the field have been attending the conferences. On the roadshow BlueStar are launching three new products: BlueStar River, BlueStar and BlueSky. It is the experts belief, like ours, that video monitoring is a technology with huge market potential. We believe it is important for us to have strong R&D, as well as the technical potential to succeed and that this combination gives us the ability to be the leaders in the security monitoring market, aided by the launch of these aforementioned three new products.
We have arranged a series of media interviews with a wide variety of media including people from the security sector such as AS, China Security, HC and China Public Safety. We have also made arrangements with the relevant ‘mass media’ including Sina Tech, Yahoo Tech and Sohu IT, as well as the local media including China Business News, Hunan Daily and the Guangzhou Daily. Representatives of BlueStar, Seagate and NXP have been answering all the media questions.
